Chatbox Messages appearing in Random Order

Dear Forumotion

I have just set up my first ever board and am really pleased with how easy it all was to get up and running.

I was testing the Chatbox feature on my site with two friends and the typed in text within the Chatbox was appearing in a random order. I would have expected for the last comment to appear at the bottom of the page but some peoples new comments were appearing up to half way up the page? It was really confusing to use with just 3 people.

It appears that the times associated with each computer were different and that the Chatbox was putting them in time order but without each user being on the same time.

I would be grateful if you could look into this matter for me as it would be such a great feature when it works correctly.

Unfortunately this is an ongoing issue, It is to do mainly with lag on the servers etc

If you are the host and someone posts before you but it hasn't yet shown up and then you post

Your post may appear before the other persons if you follow

Its just basically out of sync and there isn't much we can do to help this

that is a BIG shame as that is the main reason I used this forum in the first place!

This is the one i am using, its dead easy to set up, just make yourself a new html page in your forum Adminpanel>modules>html to create a new page, and just post the code they give you on there. with this chatroom you can control all aspects of it, making your chat secret, stricked voice moderated, share files and photo's, each member can even have a bit of a profile.

the other one ive tried is good too, but not as fancy, and a little harder to use because it's so comprehensive, but for those who like to fiddle, then try this one.
