Why do you join a forum

The title says it.please dont just say"cause i want to" and/or "i feel like it" such post like that is just spam and might be reported.
Just tell us why.

i join other forums to help the people that run them express themselves fully in the form of a forum. i am there either by request or by choice to help and improve others knowledge.

There are a lot of things that could convince me to join a forum really..

1) If it is a subject or forum base I can relate to , that could draw me in.
2) If the appearance / theme is also appealing / eye catching , makes me curious to see more.
3) If it is about Music or Horror movie related discussion, I'm so there.
4) If I'm invited by a friend to check it out, most likely I will.
5) If Luky & Caihlem are there, I'd follow them anywhere..tehe

Hmm.... I usually join a forum out of the interest of it, and the hopes of becoming a moderator or etc. on it. I also love to offer advice to some of the more "novice" forumers.

But, I usually join forums which are computer related, where I can help with PC problems, like daniweb, bleeping computer etc...

I join a forum for one of, or both of 2 reasons

1-invite by someone I know
2-topics are those that I'm really interested in.
