Topics Splitting At 990 Posts

my topics on my forum are splitting at 990 posts and of them are being locked. Is there anyway I can fix this and not have my topics splitting? My members are getting upset about this

Could you please give me a link to your forum so that I see what is happening?
So you actually only have 1 topic in your forum which is splitting all the time?
Or something like that is happening? Every reply is made a new topic?

P.S I ll try to found out what you can do, though I suppose if this is acutally happening and it is not members that instead of pressing REPLY are pressing NEW TOPIC and so it happens well, then you ll see.


Maybe when you replaced THE ICONS of NEW TOPIC AND REPLY you swapped by mistake the URLS so the link new topic has the image to reply and the link to reply has the image to new topic

it hasnt happened yet, but it has before. Its not just one topic, its when any topic reaches 990 posts, it splits into 2 and then one of them locks on its own

this is automatic and you cannot stop it from happening, the post limit for a topic is 990 and then it splits and locks on its own,

well at least they are still there. you are actually the first person that I have heard of who has come and complained about this.

Im not really complaining, I was just asking cause my members wanted to know why it was happeneing. They thought I was doing it

there is no way to change this, it is the limit of forumotion and you cannot exceed this yet.
