woohoo, my backrounds of my forums are back now theres just the PM % bar going backwords to the 0 instead of the 100% (which is a minor thing), the chat, the quick reply being thin and the "actions" thing showing up where ever it wants on the left side of the page instead of under the "actions" link (eh, at least it works the same although it doesn't show in the same place)... I'm just Happy the backrounds back

For a temporary fix for the chatbox.
To fix the black text in firefox:
Tools/options/Content/Fonts and Colors/text untick use system colors then click on the black square and change it to blue or white, click ok click ok Job done

To fix the black text in Internet explorer click tools (or open in control panel) click internet options/ bottom of box click colors/ untick use windows colors/ text click on black box /change to blue only (important)/ click on ok/ click on apply/ click on ok Job done.

I'm not sure... my forums being really weird since the updates... when i post a emoticon it shows as the short cut instead of working like it use to in wysiwyg mode... (re-checked that option and still doing the weirdness)

Also the chat box wouldn't pop up for users and the new pm pop up wont work anymore (all be un-checked then re-checked for good measures and still not working)

ummm and at one stage the quick reply was only allowing 3 lines of input

SO not sure...

Would you rather have the simpering "Oh what wonderful upgrades " I really do not mind that it has messed up my forum or complaints so the techs can fix the bugs?
Obviously from your response the latter.
I do have one bit of praise however for the techs and that is for the work on the chatbox which is now getting to where it should be.

I've a problem to report with the new update, and this seems to be the best place to report it.

My chat box took a turn for the worse today. The strings of text lie over each other.

Edit: Never mind, the problem was fixed.

Are we going to get repairs due to this update?

I have to say I have had Great Service from Forumotion till Chat Box deal and PM pop up box problems. We have posted over 25,000 posts on mine so far and I love it. Hope fully they will get everythign lined out soon.

And wasn't it said that they delayed to update so that they were sure of no errors? Now there are even more than any other update put out.

I do understand that the tech did a lot of work but, man our css and edited templates shouldn't be having problems like this.

Appreciative? Give us an update with our suggestions and no bugs/errors and I will book a flight to france and pat the tech on the back, shake thier hands and tell them good job.

The chat box is still error filled. The chatbox Forum widget isn't fixed, My gallery problem still exists. My edited templates aren't showing as I edited them. My edited CSS isn't showing as I edited it.

i got a feeling it be next week before this gets fix now

Are you trying to become the next mod man? But back to the subject. Why didn't forumotion and the shop for each forum. There is a suggestion for a site store for our forums. Why couldnt we get one instead of just forumotion?

Because forumotion added a cafepress shop to their site and everyone swallowed "oh look what we have added" when in fact its a standard cafepress shop.
I have one and the products are instantly recognizable.

Early this afternoon the chatbox was working while not good acceptable, but now has gone back to abysmal.

I am guessing that this would be the techs playing around with the chatbox in attempts to fix it, if it was better this morning that is a hint that they have found a way to improve it.

i was hoping for more updates.
But I guess u can't have everything.

it aint free when ive done dropped 50+ into crap for the admin panel, the forum, and domain. and still2 days and not even looked at or fixed

It all seems to have started here with a double & charactors in a script statement, double &'s are still in the statement
but subsequent adjustments to the update is effecting a lot more of the program now with a lot of strange things happening
--being logged out frequently, loosing messages, scrolling up in the chat box after a send, I would have to give the update
a big thumbs down....it should have been tried out more beore releasing it, I notice that this forum did'nt get it or at least
doesn't seem to be getting the same problems. I would suggest reverting to before the update until it has been tried out more
and a thorough syntax check is done with scripting.... ...musket

Major bug: The forum directory is screwed up...

Can 1 member just write down in a gentle and mannered way the current problems that are happening on your forums ... I have 3 forums and none are acting strange ... the chatbox works well , and my backgrounds are not being messed up.

from what I know the techies are working on the problems live, they are fixing things along the way... but in nice simple points could someone jot down the problems.
