ShoutBox

hi all, i do not know if this is the right place. i would like to ask is there a way to place a Shoutbox at the top of the forum please. i would like to try & place the Shoutbox in the header if possible

Yes, you can do it.
Go to Admin Panel > Modules > In the side bar, click "Configuration" in the "Chatbox" tab.
Activate the ChatBox : click Yes.
ChatBox display : Top of the homepage.
Click "Validate".

this is not the shoutbox? this is still the Chat box. both a ShoutBox & Chatbox are 2 different things this is why i am asking for help

go to a shoutbox site, make one and embed the code into a widget, its supposed to work

i wiukd like to use the Portal,ChatBox & a Shoutbox. i can do it on other forums why not this is one?

can any admin help me out here please at all. i have the shoutbox code & need it pasted into the Header of the forum. it is like if i use Proboards forum site to build my forum, i can use both the ChatBox & Shoutbox as on there you have access to change the headers & footers.

i am guessing then that this can not be done on your Forums ?

create a custom widget for your protal then put that widget in the header of your forum

can you explain a bit more please Pilya on how to get the Widget into the header section please?. if you could provide Screenshots i would be greatfull

please read TUTORIAL about how and where to sign up for a shout box and get a code ...

once you've done that edit your portal
admin panel>modules>portal>structure>create a custom block



copy the code given by the shoutbox provider and paste it on your custom block



then SAVE

Go back to the protal management structure then drag the shoutbox you created into the header of your forum
