Banning Girlfriends usernames

i think it's getting abit silly now and making this forum look childish i think the admins should start banning them

hey I like my GF! but i want to know why they started...

We can't just ban a member because of their username or avatar. They have to be violating the rules of the support forum. They are treated just like everyone else.

I vote "no".

if someone made account like spooks girlfriend on my forum i would ban their ip straingt away,

As long as they do not violate the TOS or rules of the forumotion forum, it doesn't really matter what the username is, unless it's inappropriate.

Edited: That might be too harsh. You could just notify them, and change their username, and you won't lose a member.

do you know that?? they might be different people.

Can you prove that it's the same person- Hellboy's and Placehold's Girlfriend usernames, etc.?

Can you prove this? From the IP information that I have, they are all using different IP addresses. There isn't more than one "girlfriend" posting from the same IP address, thus indicating that they aren't multiple accounts.

i'm not really bother the girlfriend accounts are jokes and it need sorting out this is not a play ground it's a support forum for crying out loud.

Spook, calm yourself down, they haven't done anything wrong, thus there is no need for a warning or ban. Unless they have broken the TOS, or any of the such, then there's no purpose in this.

For my views, I find it quite ridiculous, and would take action if I could. If these accounts turn out to be multi-accounts => standard procedure. Otherwise, there's not much I can do though

I can see how that could get annoying if it happens alot. But unless they're breaking any rules, then there's no reason to ban them.

It's OK for a member to have a dream to become an admin here. Why shouldn't they? If that's what they want, then let them work to achieve that.
