well first of all if you got banned you can't get unbanned, unless a moderator or admin does it. try to get in contact with a moderator and ask them to unban you.

When did this happened?

Because months ago, at the start of this year, I created a forum with this name, but I don't know if you are talking about mine, since I closed it two days after its "release".

I'm sorry, but the admins of any forum have every right to ban a member. It's their forum, they are in charge, so what they say goes. Forumotion cannot force the admin to unban you.

Don't you need a reason to ban someone?

In order for you to get you're account, it is best that you do talk to the Founder/main Admin in charge because they hav the most rights and probably know whats going on with you're account

No. A reason is not required to ban someone. The Administrators have every right to ban a member from his/her forum without reason and without delay.

Ideally: yes. Realistically: no.

Joe Bob can make a forum and then two weeks later ban some random member just because the guy rubbed him the wrong way. He didn't have to violate any obscure rule or do anything that anybody would regard as offensive or wrong, as Administrator Joe Bob can ban anyone on his board at any time just because he wanted to.

Lame? Yes. Can Forumotion make Joe Bob unban the member? No. I'm not aware of any Forumotion ToS guideline that specifies that forum owners can't be ruthless dictators. For that matter, "ban" isn't even mentioned anywhere in the ToS.

It may sound unprofessional, but they are the facts. I personally wouldn't like it if I were to be banned from a forum without a reason, but hey, there's not much you can do about it.

well I'll tell ya what. when administrators or mods start baning people for no other reason then just b/c they can. well then they better be prepared for what goes around comes around.

baning people on free forums can be an ugly business sometimes.
you can have anyone from sending hackers or sending a whole group of people at once posting bad things over and over to try to get you shut down.
i have seen this girl do it b/f. she had like 500 of her myspace friends raid this forum and post nothing but porn over and over. yea there's one mod and one admin. of course the girl did not succeed b/c the admin closed the place and contacted her host to make them aware of what was going on..

and this was all over some guy neither of them new then only talking to online affraid the funny thing is the girl would have had like a 1000 or more if the admin did not close it b/f she seen what was happening.

but people are nuts!!!!! and free forums, especially in public forum directories are always vulnerable for Manny reasons. mainly hackers.

anyway.
the wright thing to do when baning someone is always tell them why.
and have a good reason. sure if you just dont want then there fine. but have a Lil responsibility and step up as a admin and do it properly. honestly i feel if you one to get hot headed over the littlest or stupidest things. then you should not be administrating your own forum free or not. fufufu

I 100% clearly agree with Kirk when he said ..

Yea, Admins are somewhat dimwhitted, hateful, untrustful, and unfair sometimes, But it's their forum, and if they want more members, then they shouldn't act hateful or anything. They should enjoy and help their members. If they want to ban someone, then they shouln't just say "Hey, I Hate You So I'll Ban You." They should just tell them exactly why. Yea, it's hateful, but 100% legal for them.
