How to accept new forum members

Have just made the Forum finished

How do I accept members so that they are members

In the admin. panel >users and groups
you can decide how member activation is set up.
either by the member or by the admin.
if you chose admin you will receive email that a new acct has been created, then another email to activate the acct.
if you set it so members activate it, they receive an email and they have to click the link to activate it . or you can go into the INACTIVE members list in Users and groups and click activate for them.
all of this providing you have set the forum to accept new members.
