I would like to know how to add smileys into the titles of the topics.

You can create topic icons in your admin. control panel>go to Pics Management> click on Topic Icons.
you can either choose from some default options or just add the URL of the image you want, and set the topic icon permissions etc.

I hope that is what you mean
