hit counter code in footer phpbb2

I had put in a hit counter and it was working fine. I changed some things and had to reinstall the hit counter.
It is put in the footer of the forum. PHPBB2.

Now it is not working. I think I may have placed it wrong. I can't find the original topic that helped me install it right in the first place.

Should the code go after the code in the footer? or I remember something about <body>... place after this?
I am code illiterate and really need to know exactly the position the code should be placed to get it working again.

The counter is showing at the bottom of the page, but it is not registering any statistics and the count does not increase.
I'm sure this is an easy fix, but I'm stumped.

well, that not clear enough. did you purchase an template editing?
and a piece of screenshot showing that counter or link to your forum might useful here if you dont mind Smile

if your using PHPBB2 you can edit it:))

go to display>templates>general>overall footer>(put the hit counter codes above) and save:))
after that click the + sign to apply the codes, and preview:)
