Admin forbidden memebers?

I was checking out if my new button on the forum will work. When I saw that I have forbidden memebers to make an account. So I changed it to allow memebers. But when i tried again it still shows the same thing, does it take a while to change?

can u please clairify what do you mean by "forbiden"?

Forbidden: Not allow to make an account. I was trying to see if my new button will work on registion procees.

ok you may want to try this setting to make sure its not set to on

go to your admin page and then go to General
then go down to * Configuration
scroll down till you see this

Forum in construction = No:
or
Forum on holiday := No
they should be set to No on that settings if there Not click them and save the settings then try and make a new account.

i think what he wants to do is either not allow any registrations of new members?
or have it to ware the can register and he can accept or deny there membership?

if this is what your trying to do you can find it in {user/groups} then {user options}
you can select to have (user) or (admins) enable there New accounts activation.
or click no for (Allow new members.) but if you click no for that then no one will be able to register.

whats the new button?
and yea it sounds like you dont want to allow registrations.
so just check off (allow new members) to no as explained above.

oh you can also hide or remove the register icon too.

oh! I think I had ti set to Forum on Holiday. i guess I thought it meant the forum will be abviable on hoildays. Thank you!
