I asked one of my colleagues for advice and here's the answer.

You have the choice between :
1- Use the service of a poll provider (ex : http://polls.blogflux.com/)
2- If you have knowledge in php, you can make yourself a poll.

The simplest way is the first option. You follow the instructions on the website and when your poll is created, you can paste the code in ont of these 3 places :

- Admin Panel > General Admin > Homepage > At the top-right of the large field, click on the <> button to pass in HTML mode > you paste the code.

- Admin Panel > Forum Admin > Management+ > you create a new forum > At the top-right of the large field, you click on the <> button to pass in HTML mode > you paste the code.

- Admin Panel > Portal > Portal structure > you create a custom block > at the top-right of the large field, you click on the <> button to pass in HTML mode > you paste the code.
