Reading PMs

Is there any way i can read pms to make sure that people aren't pming anything inapropriate?

Yes you can read PMs but one of the people involved have to send it to you or post it publicly. Other than that, NO, there is no way to legaly do that because they are PRIVATE messages and not PUBLIC messages so going in to them in infrindging on peoples privacy.

Anywho, this is a good idea. Why not though up a poll in the Suggestions section of this forum?

This has been suggested but refused. PM=Private Messaging. So it kind of give you a clue what it suppose to do.

that's true to , but let's think about at SMS mesages

the Admins of a network like Vodafone and T-Mobile let's say they can view your SMS anytime they want

Im not sure about that but we will have to live without seeing people's PM's

I have assured my members that private messages are not read by the admin. I also stated that the privelage of pm's are just that---a privelage. If at any time this feature is misused then it will be taken away from the members.

Admin cannot see anyone elses pm's. Just to let you know as your are new, you are not allowed to use coloured text on this forum it is reserved only for the staff

well, the PM's are PRIVATE MESSAGES! not public messages!
there is basically no rules (varies form forum to forum)
Admins shouldnt be allowed to see this anyways, incase people want to talk privatally about a particular member or problem.
If it was to be suggestion, id say no to it.

Anyways under forumotion's forums, this isnt possable.

There is a way to view PMs. But normally no admin, Founder or mod can view them.

As I said there is always a way to do something. As it is a violation of privacy I wont reveal how to view a members PMs
