Kilsek, it's his right to open a topic about this theme because he suggested to create a section and we refused. You're not forced to post if you disagree...

Re: lets all speak french
Je suis français donc je ne parles pas très bien l'anglais. Heuresement, l'équipe m'aide
I'm french, I don't speack english very well, hopefully, the team helps me
I think this topic should be organized. Should we give lessons or important keys to understand and speack french because I don't want a kind of "chatroom", there is already a topic

As you can see, it's hard to keep an eye on him
Excellent
Comme vous voyez, c'est difficile de garder un oeil sur lui

D'accord
Tu sais, moi non plus Tristou je ne suis pas très douée en anglais. Mais reste que tu l'es plus que moi
Ok. You know, Tritou, i'm not good in english too. But, you are more than me.
Sinon, on va y aller pour faire organiser.
"Salut, comment ça va ?"
Hi, How are you ?
Je suis fatigué
"I'm tired"
Je ne suis pas content
"I'm not happy"
Je suis
"I am"
J'ai 18 ans
"I'm 18 years old"
Car c'est une erreur que l'on fait souvent...Mettre I have, plutôt que I'm...^^'
Because that's a mistake we do many times.
Etc ^^
Des petites bases, mais on ne sait jamais, ça peut rappeller...

Re: lets all speak french
What is the goal of your remark Kilsek ? I understood you dislike this topic but as I said above, you're not forced to post. This section (General discussions) and this topic are diffrent from the rest of the forum, it's a kind of relaxation's section with some rules. The goal of this topic is to learn some french sentences, it's an exception and as you can see, we speak english here too. So I think it's useless to interpret the post you quoted above like this: "he said we must speak english because we are on an english forum so we need to avoid to use an other language in the whole forum, in all the topics".
End of the off-topic, you can send me a P.M if you want

Pas de triche, pas de traducteurs xD
En plus ils sont nuls, ta phrase ne veut rien dire
No cheating, no translators xD
Besides, they're dull, your sentence doesn't mean a thing

Re: lets all speak french
J'essayerai participer a ce conversation, mais je dois dire que mon francais est assez mauvais! C'est a dire le francais écrit, je peux le faire mieux quand je parle.
I will try to participate in this conversation, but I must say that my French is quite bad. That is to say, written French, I can do it better when I speak.

Ah ! POurtant je trouve que tu te débrouilles tout de même très bien en Français. Sans doute mieux que moi en anglais
Ah ! However, I think that you're quite good in french. No doubt better than me en english
Sorry ! I write sentences that I'm not able to translate

As French-speaker, I can say that your French is not so bad
--------------------------------------
Quand on apprend une nouvelle langue, l'une des premières chose que l'on doit apprendre est la conjugaison des verbes auxiliaire (être et avoir)
When we learn a new language, one of the first thing we have to learn is to conjugate the auxiliary verbs (to be and to have).
On commence par le présent de l'indicatif qui est l'équivalent de votre présent simple / We begin with the indicative present, which can be compared to the simple present in English
Être (TO BE)
- Je suis
- Tu es
- Il/elle est
- Nous sommes
- Vous êtes
- Ils/elles sont
Avoir (TO HAVE)
- J'ai
- Tu as
- Il/elle a
- Nous avons
- Vous avez
- Ils/elles ont
Notice :
-"Il" and "Elle" are both in the third person of singular, but they are use according to the gender. "Il" is the french "he", and "Elle" is the French "she" We don't have any equivalent for "it", so if we talk about objects, we'll use "il" or "elle" according to the object name's gender.
- "Ils" and "Elles" are both in the third person of plural. It's the same as for "Il" and "Elle".
Now, we continue with the "imparfait de l'indicatif" (indicative imperfect) which is used in the same way as you use the simple past in English.
Être
- J'étais
- Tu étais
- Il/elle était
- Nous étions
- Vous étiez
- Ils/elles étaient
Avoir
- J'avais
- Tu avais
- Il/elle avait
- Nous avions
- Vous aviez
- Ils/elles avaient
And now, the last main tense : the indicative future (futur de l'indicatif).
Être
- Je serai
- Tu seras
- Il/elle sera
- Nous serons
- vous serez
- Ils/elles seront
Avoir
- J'aurai
- Tu auras
- Il/elle aura
- Nous aurons
- Vous aurez
- Ils/elles auront
there are other tenses, but the 3 ones I mentioned are the most used tenses in French.
