Admistration doubt

My forum is growing, and we need even more scurity, due to some issues with some users.

We are two admins. But my mate cannot show up that often, so we decide to promote another user as an Admin, as well. BUT - only in "theory".

Let me see if I can explain...We don't want this new admin to have access to the Admin Board Pannel.

We've put him under the Admin title,but apparently he can only moderate the destined boards, and not all of them. So we ended up putting him in the Admin level, in the Admin Board. But this, gives him access to the Admin Board - which, we don't want to (not yet).

So my question is: is there a way, to put him as an Admin, and not giving him access to the Admin board, but STILL, with permission to moderate all boards? Like a password just for admins, that we don't give him, for example?!
(putting his name as moderator of all boards is not an option, since we have other moderators)

no there is no way you can do this. sorry, but it sounds like you want him as a super moderator. right?

Either he's an admin, simple as that, or he's a moderator, or he's amoderator under the diguise of an admin

Yes you can make him a "In theory" Administrator to be able to moderate all forums, to do this:

Admin panel
User Groups
Create a new group DO NOT: color user name
Make the group Hidden
Make the person (new admin) the "Group's" moderator
click save

Then go to groups permissions and check all the forums boxes that will allow the group to be moderator.
Click save
