phpbb3 problems - forum won't load phpbb3

It's stable now as the version we've had to revert to is phpbb2 but starting from yesterday evening the forum would not load phpbb3 properly. Is mine the only forum experiencing difficulties ?

As I say, it's stable now but wasn't at all between 9pm on Monday and this morning, Tuesday, at 12 noon when the other Admin decided to revert it to phpbb2 and it worked.

Any ideas what's going on ?
