Change founder

I have a forum but I want to change the founder user. Not just the names. Is this possible?

You will need to give the information to the user that you want to change the founder to.

They will need to change the password and the email.

can I not just add the user to the founders group?

You can but they wont have the same rights as you do.

that's what I mean. I need to completely change the founder or copy the compete forum over.

There can only be one founder.

To a differnet host. But copying the forum to a new forum will be entering the forumotion databass and that is not allowed.

why not just change your email (the founder) then give your own username and pass to the one you want to have access too?..if you really want to give the power to be the founder.

You can ask the current founder to change his details and then give his account to you. After it's been given to you, immediately change the username and password again.

Or, if the founder is absent for 6 months, get in touch with an administrator here and they can change the password of the founders account, so you can have access to it.
