I thought would be able to do this, but it looks like this isn't possible and without promoting them to admins. Sad If I am right, then I'm going to make a suggestion that Mods should have the rights to respond to locked topics/threads. Smile

I just check it on my test forum and yes it is possible for moderators to reply to locked topics - in the forums they moderate.

Daijiro

Hi Daijiro, can you explain more and how this is possible? I have my mods set to moderate all forums and with full access to those forums. I have a test account I use to test things and my test account set to be a mod was unable to reply to a locked topic. Sad

Did you click on the "Locked" button because the "post reply" button is replaced by the locked one?

Yes...when going into a locked topic you only see the option for "New Topic" in that forum or the "locked" icon. I clicked the "locked" icon as my test moderator account and it told me I didn't have access to respond.

I'm not sure why it's doing that. Try logging out, clearing your cookies and cache, reset your browser and try it again.
