footer links

can anybody tell me the css code to remove all the footer links please. i see a moderators as done it on is forum so if he can do it we should be able to do it as well.

here are the forums that haven't got a footer links.

You cannot do this without breaking the ToS of ForuMotion.

so these forums are breaking the TOS of forumotion then?

There's a special feature called "Template Editing", its not free, but when you buy it you CAN edit those footer links... so this forum isn't breaking ToS, it just has template editing enabled xD

template editer only work for phpbb 2 & none of these are phpbb 2 so are they breaking hte ToS

yes indeed,
all that ToS say is as long as we maintain link to forumotion & phpbb, its alright to modify footer link.

I can do an example if you wish me to do so.

etc123, ForuMotion as a company has a HUGE job, and may not be able to maintain such a small thing, hence they do not update it, but rather relay it from ForuMotion workers such as Typlo.

And yes, I have personally reported a forum because

A) it contained no footer link
B) it was display (to a guest) pornographic material.

Search through the posts and you will find many written by mods and admins that say its ok to remove the footers if you have paid for template editing, to now say a straight "non" seems to me to be greed inspired.

Actually, when I signed up it said Advertisement's free forum.
but never the less, the adds are there now, AND as you stated, they are quite intrusive, and personal!
IE: just noticed this add:
background pic: sleeky purple, and an attractive blone in the front saying "would u like to join this chatroom" and it is an 18+ chatroom, on a forum with people at the age of 13!

I understand that the adds pay for our techies, and for our forums being free, but this is a new low for people whom want "add free, 100% free forum" forums?

Yes, we need more techies, because then we may be able to get 1 or 2 here in the english forum, rather than every other damn forumotion support forum!

And yes, the updates may be buggie, but their better than nothing.

The gpl license is from the phpbb site as its written and distributed under the gnu public license hence gpl.
Which means its free for you to download and use as long as you retain the copyright phpbb at the bottom.

It is very easy to remove footer links with CSS... Specially for Invision skins...
Dont need any programs...

Typlo is said many times that is breaking the rules of forumotion & your forum will be delete, but he not enforcing it

i'm just going report every forum i see without a footer & wait for a month if they dont get deleted i will remove my footer too

Don't remove the footer, but hide the links. The admins themselves said it's allowed.

Even I want to do this.
I don't want to remove the links but just customize them in my own way.

well I just tell them that publicity can not be removed at least
understand what are the templates as soon as they said, or slightly
less to pay for removal, because that is ForuMotion advertising, and

I've edited footer via template editing, and placed link to php and a banner link to forumotion (think its more attractive than the regular text link). So the question is:

Am i allowed to do the thing i did in the text mentioned upper ^

If not please tell me so i get back default footer.. lol xD
