Hi there^^

to let only your moderators browse the forum, just go in Admin panel Arrow forum admin Arrow management+ (if you don't see it, simply click on the arrow)

then choose the forum you want, and click on "edit"
then:
- view: MOD
- read: MOD
- Write: MOD

...
just put everything on "MOD" Razz

I think that should fix the problem^^

And if you don't want anybody to come on your forum for while you just put Admin all over :

- view: Admin
- read: Admin
- Write: Admin

Than you can change and do all you want. Mind you, you can lock your forum to the sight of the non members, to avoid locking out your usual members, by just switching each headings on : view : & read : Members

That means that no one outside your members and modérators wil be able and allowed to read what's on your forum.

Isn't there also a way to make only certain members (not only moderators) able to browse?

Yes, you can do it by setting the forum permissions to Private and by using groups.

In the Frequently Asked Questions, there's a topic about permissions and a topic about usergroups, I invite you to read them ^^
