is there anyway to stop the names of groups that can access a forum from appearing next to the title of the forum.

Eg, it says on my board:

Forum number one
Discuss the forum about the forum - Members1, Members4

Them are groups you made mods

Try going to Display>Structure and hierarchy> hierarchy box.
Choose NO for "display forum moderators"
