Solved Navigation bar problems

Post by CoRE_-D4M4G3D March 1st 2009, 11:19 pm

Okay if you got to gamersassault.co.nr at top u will see some nice buttons, well there is one big problem. There seperate and i want them together. If i can't get them together thats fine but also you'll notice a biger gap between home and forums than you would notice between any other button. For my last problem the backgroud color of it is white i want it black but i've mest and mest with the colors and can't seem to find the one that affects the backgroud colors of the buttons, the white makes site look bad.

The width of the forum button is higher. Use this link for the button. I have fixed its width.

See if that works out for you.

Your home and forum icon has a big space, when it was created.
Try editing it, then shorten the spacing of it. Then try to upload it and use it again.

Solved Re: Navigation bar problems

Post by venusrose March 4th 2009, 9:13 am

Phpbb3 will put all buttons together I assume. I tried going to "temporary themes" in admin panel>display>temp themes

I tried using Invision and Punbb. They separate navigation buttons. I chose Phpbb3 and Phpbb2 as my version, and all the buttons are together.

Maybe it's just the version? Though if you are already using phpbb3 or phpbb2, then sorry this didn't help.

AoG New Year
by VoltiNova is the hitskin i am useing. So you can tell me how to put the nav bar buttons together?

Also the forum button you made me is gone now, if u make me it again ill save it in my photobucket then paste it off me photobucket so that tinypic thing won't show up again. If i do that will it still close that huge gap, or will it just screw everything up again?

Read this solution here. Also read which code do you need to replace it with placehold's code a few posts above by Mariko 21.

Also, i don't know how the image got deleted. You already have a fixed width button on your forum. Do you want me to make it again?

Solved Re: Navigation bar problems

Post by Guest March 6th 2009, 7:45 pm

Hey there

You should be able to rectify this issue using a CSS code which from what i can see isn't really easy to find in the CSS

1. Navigate to:

Admin Panel\Display\Colors\CSS StyleSheet

2. Add the following code to the top of the box and press "Submit" to save

Code:
.mainmenu {
padding: 0 0 0 0 !important;
margin: 0 0 0 0 !important;
}

This should be reflected immediately on the forum Very Happy

Regards

Craig
