Need Tutorials on how to make skins

Hello there

Now i see that many people are asking how to make a skin as they do not like the current options available and want to try their hand at skin making.

I myself want to know exactly on how to make a skin.

I have searched the forums and have only found posts on installation and submission of skins which are useful but certainly not enough for those who want to make their own skins.

If the graphic designers here or anybody else could be kind enough to post a detailed tutorial on how they made one of their skins it would be great for people like me who don't where and how to begin.

No offense but it almost looks like making themes or skins is a closely guarded secret.
