[ONLY TOPIC] Issues with the new update [Please read first post] - Page 11 Empty Please could someone advise about this? Members List columns

Post by Guest March 27th 2009, 10:59 pm

Quoting below a copy of my post on this thread a couple of days ago. Would be better if we could have separate topics please for the different issues - I think some queries are not being picked up on here being 11 pages long now. Please could someone advise me about the following - I'd like to have the "locations" column back on my members list and not the "loisirs" column, which is pretty useless, as no-one ever bothers completing that section in their profiles. Grateful if a moderator or technician could please tell me how to correct it. Thanks, Cas thumright

Cas wrote:Hope I'm posting this in the right place. I can't find anything else mentioned anywhere about this............
Since the upgrades, my "Members List" no longer displays members location column. Instead there is the column "loisirs" which I suppose is French for "hobbies". Is there a way I can change it back to displaying the location column, which is what I want back, and not have the "loisirs" column please? If not, how can I change "loisirs" into English? Everything else seems OK, though I haven't tried all the new features yet.

Thanks for any advice.

Cas

PS - came back to add my forum address - http://www.smithchat.com

Post by Guest March 27th 2009, 11:34 pm

Have another problem.

Want to use the new Login pop-up, but its too big.Want to resize it. Its currently set at 350 px width x 250 px height - so much too high. I've tried several times during last couple of days to change it to a smaller size - but everytime I click "save", it goes back to the size mentioned above confused Can't use it until I can fix it. Please can you help.

Above the 'statistics' widget has appeared the following:

< class="" height="25">

The widget's heading bar has disappeared, so the text "statistics" is on a barren background. This problem started with the recent update.

Someone else posted about this problem but their thread was locked before resolution.

How can we fix this? We are on phpbb2 and both Firefox and Explorer are afflicted.

Thanks.

Seems like you have to go into your profile the "new" way now to change it. You can either click on your name from the memberlist or when you click profile from the navigation, you then have to click "see my profile" and then make any modifications that way.

The only thing it seems we can't change but should be able to is "website" in our profiles.

Hello,

I am certainly not an expert here and I have an unresolved issue on my forum with my skin as well. However, it looks like it's some kind of conflict with your CSS. Where did you get the skin for your forum from? Have you always used this skin? What you may want to try is using a temporary theme to see if this goes away. Perhaps you could also reinstall this skin/theme again. Do you have anything in your CSS?

Maybe you could write to or contact the person who created this skin as well.

Hi
Not sure if to do with the changes as only happened today.
When trying to change things in the profile it says this site does not accept users over 99 years of age, even though the date of births are correct!
Any ideas?

Thank you

I didn't have too many problems with the update, I noticed the number of members had gone back to normal. The humour is still there in members list instead of location but now something new has happened only yesterday.

The year as part of birthday is no longer working and as I had that as an obligatory field for registering people could no longer register. So I suppose you're working on that?

This problem can be addressed by going to your Memberlist, clicking on your name in the list which will take you directly to your new profile page. From there, when you hover your mouse over any field that can be edited, 2 arrows will show up. Click the arrows, edit the field accordingly and then click the little "green check mark" to validate the changes. Smile

I also have a problem with the birthdays. At the moment I have set the birthday to 'no' for obligatory when registering to become a member. It's in users and groups -> profiles. Modify 'birthday' to obligatory: NO.

Hope this helps.

Once it's running ok again you can turn it back.

Ok, don't know if this has been mentioned before but you can't add a new addition to personalized profiles that contain an image.

If you try to add a flag for example or any other image from a selection of images in the personalized profiles, there is no [ONLY TOPIC] Issues with the new update [Please read first post] - Page 11 Add11 to make additions. Sad

I dont think the friend/foe mangement has bee nfixed properly as we are still having problems.
I have asked people to be my friend, they accept but it dosnt add them to my list and vise versa.
Is there anyway friends can be automaically added?? members are starting to get really cheesed off with the friends list and this is happening and they are still losing friends after a couple of days

Typlo after latest express update, contact fields like msn, aim, web, skype etc. turn to "no" for members edit, on profil section. We can't change them so members can't edit their contact choices, only editable for admins.

This is a bug? Or how can we change it to make members choose or edit their contact fields on their profiles?
