pls answer i need help

pls help me about my forum ranks,,(sorry for this question)
i just created ranks on my forum including the Moderator rank and newbie rank,,

this is the problem:
i created a tester account and i made him moderator,, when i viewed the profile,, it shows that the rank is newbie,, how is this?? how can i change the rank of this??

Admin Panel>> Users & Groups>> Search users>> Under the Users list, Click on a username you want to give a rank>> Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see "Rank Title">> Assign a Rank and hit Save.

General>> Security>> Security Administration>> Disallow moderators to ban members>> No.

wait! if you want to give a person mod rights then you may have to add him to the moderators group. Just giving the rank wont suffice..
