Trouble accessing admin panel

I was recently added into the administrators group on a forum, however even when given a direct link to the panel I have a message saying "You are not allowed to administer this board" appear, is this a site problem that'll resolve its self or does the founder need to change a setting somewhere?

the founder haven't putted you a full admin as you can only see admin under your name but not go to ACP

tell him to Go to ACP -------->Users and groups ------------>Groups management-------->Administrators and put your username in administrator and also go to Search users and modify your profile by clicking the modify button in front of your username and then in end of the page select administrator as the special Rank
