Checking New Users email address before Registering them
Hello.
I need to check who people are before I register them for the Forum. At the moment I have it set so admin (myself) has to check it but basically I get sent two emails - one saying new person has registered and the other saying I can "click here" to register them. however no-where in those emails or anywhere I look in the admin panel can I find anything about who that new user is. All I need is their email so I can email them and check who they are.
Thanks in advance.

I do the same thing. In one of those emails is a new person has registered and you can view this persons profile. That will provide the persons registration email information. I did this very thing yesterday before I activated a new member.

No when I follow that link to look at the profile it doesnt show me an email address or anything.
I have tried uploading a print screen but its not letting me unless I register for something. But it says Contact User X and then Send an email but there is no email address there.

You can go into your admin panel > Users and Groups > Users > Inactive users . . . you'll find the new registrant there. At this point, you can view his/her profile and email them to get further info before you activate their account.

Re: Checking New Users email address before Registering them
You have a choice to go back in and edit the first post you made - click on *Solved* . . . the mods will know you're finished then, and come close the topic. Glad I could help!
Re: Checking New Users email address before Registering them
That link will take you to their profile. At the bottom where it says administrate user, click on profile. That's a little faster than going the other route. Sorry I didn't spell that out earlier. I forgot a step.
