Solved Merge Topic's problem.

Post by Ape April 27th 2009, 11:55 pm

Hi All
I’m having a big problem that when I Merge a topic with the other ones the Merged topic is put in the very 1st post no matter what I do.
I want it to be sent in the middle or the last post that was made ?

Is there away that this can be set?

The merged topic should not be the 1st post made as it is not right should be middle or last one in the post.

Much Thanks

~Ape~

Hello Ape Man,
Check your date you posted the topics in your forum please.

I think if you merge an old topic with a new topic, the new topic's posts will appear at the bottom of the topic.

admin panel>General>Categories and forums.
Make sure you check each forums modifications. click on the lil orange gear.

then make sure you have (Sort topics by) set to:
topics post date (most recent in first.)

then have (Sort the posts of a topic by) set to:
post date(most oldest first)

what i suggested is about the only thing I'm aware of doing to make sure it's right.
if that don't work then it means what Master Marc has said.i don't think there's a way to change that
