Forum options not working PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright before you judge me I have been an admin on other forums before this one and do know all about the settings and how to properly edit them, but on this new forum I have just created some of the functions will not work, such as:

• All colours do not changed when code is changed and then saved, they stay as the default setting on the site, although the setting you changed it to in the admin panel stays to the one you have changed.
  
• None of the align options will take effect: I cannot center the banner, it stays to the default right, I cannot center or change any of the menu alignment.
  
• Background images I add do not appear on the background.
  
• Navigation bar doesnt change if you change to the image you set it as.

BTW, I am not useless because I can change these settings in exactly the same way on two different forums, please can someone help...

Can you install the same skin as on your other two forums & try changing it.

Ummm.. when I change the theme to the same one as another forum I can change those settings, is there any way I can change the settings and stay as liquid black?

Probably an issue with the skin. Can't really help you on that issue. Sorry.

The skin uses custom CSS, you'll have to edit it manually.

I have a couple different forums, one is phpbb3 - the other Invision. When I initially set up the boards, I could easily alter colors without having to enter my CSS style sheet. That seems to work ONCE, unfortunately. I think you'll need to go into that CSS to begin changing things now . . .

Is it right? NO . .. but seems to be fact with these boards. Probably a glitch, but you'll need to deal with that as such. The rest of us have.

So... how would you edit the alignment of the banner using the CSS stylesheet or is that just for the colours? BTW thanx for all the help!

Hi . . . look for something in the CSS style sheet that looks like this:

/* ***************************Header*************************** */
div#logostrip {
min-height: 68px;
background-image: url('');
background-repeat: repeat-x;
text-align: center;
}
*+ html div#logostrip {
min-height: 70px;
}
div#logostrip #logo {
display: block;
margin: 0 10px;
float: center;
}

If it says left or right, you can change it to 'center'

It should be pretty close to the top!

Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!! I found a value that looked a bit different but was at the top, ( a bit of guesswork) and now I have managed to center my banner! I can probably figure out the other problems now I know how to edit the CSS.
