First topic message reminder :

How much money have you spent on your ForuMotion forum for necessities such as domain names, templates, space, etc.?

I have JUST spent money on a domain name.

The annoying thing is, before I bought it, i thought, Right, ill get all my affiliates etc to change the link from www.somethingaboutrp.forumotion.com to www.somethingaboutrp.com .

Damn thing then tells me it is going to take 5 fricking days.

I have mailed all my members, changed the links... FFS

I need it to speed up the process... Damn thing...

You guys [ADMINS] should fricking warn before you buy the damn domain name. Instead of 'What would you like it to be' It should say:

'What would you like it to be? Warning: Takes up to 5 days to process'

@typlo: make sure there isn't anything about that in Terms and Conditions.. because if you do and some guy doesn't get it max time he may sue you dude.. Razz

I purchased 4000 credits which works out to be £30.00 ish and my forum has been going now for 2+ years. I would love to get rid of the Adds and when I can afford it I will....

I haven't spent anything yet. I am planning to, but I'm gonna wait to make sure its onthe right stuff. Still new to all of this, and I dont want to spend any $$ I don't have to.

i bought my domain back in 05 for 4.99$ for two years and up until last year it was 9.99$ renewal per year, so [4.99$/05-07] [9.99$07-08]
then last year it went up to 35.99$ and of course this year it'll be the same..
so i guess over the last five or so years, ive spent a total of about 86.96$

other than that, that's it. everything else has just been time to up keep or develop.

i have just the one domain (.com) and can add upto five subdomains (currently have two sub.coms)

I paid for a domain name back in August and that was like $20ish I believe. Then I've had members donate a nice amount of money which we used for more storage and ad removal.

The rest of the money I donate actually goes for prizes for our contests and other activities. I don't plan to spend anymore money until our domain name runs out.
