Chatbox logs users off after about 15 minutes?

Hi all,
a few of my forum members complain that the chatbox is logging them off, or in their own words 'disconnecting them' after about 15 minutes. Is that normal? If it isn't normal how do I fix it?

There has been glitches all the time, so there are bugs.

ITs normal the chatbox does kick inactive users that haven't entered any text.

Thanks all, can anyone tell me exactly how long we get before it logs us off?
Is there any way I can change this?

Having the same issue on my forum and people asking me to stop it happenning.
