can you add a pic/banner to a catagory?

Is it possible to put a pic for the catagory? just a thought as I want to do it.... (I see other forums with it and want to know how) might help my forum look a bit better

Sure you can
Just go to ACP/General/Categories And Forums
Click this -> forum icon
and put the URL of your desired image in here Image URL :
or you can use a HTML Code <img src="LINK OF YOUR IMAGE">
but if your picture size is too big the image will not apear

where to pu the image, there's no image option for catagories on mine... (or do I have to use a different version, currently phbb2) it there for the forums but not for the catagories.....

you cant add a image to categories
you must add it on your forums not on the category
