activation mail is nt coming

hi ya.. on my forum it is now a days giving problems to my website visitors they are giving complains to me that when they register to my forum they dnt receive any activation mail even they dnt get the activation mail at spam/ junk folder however my activation by mail option is done.....some times they got mail but some times not... can any body tell me wat is problem to my forum???? Sad

Just make it so they get automatically activated. Then try turning e-mail activation on again.

yes its activ.. some times my users got mail while they register.. but some time not. ..even not on their spam box...

Ok, im registered; and active.

I received the email, lets go down the other avenue I had in mind.

So, if its not in the just (spam) box, and their not with a major email player (such as hotmail, live, yahoo, GMail) then there is an unavoidable delay of about 5 minuted to get though all the crap of non-major player's servers'

Sometimes there is a delay of up to 5-24 hours on any email system out there; that cannot be helped.

Are your members just not receiving the email within a timely manner, or not receiving it at all?

why don't you just check the inactive users and activate them?
or have It set as Forgotten has stated.

admin panel>user/groups>users options.
set (New accounts activation) to auto then hit save.

and to check any inactive users it's right there to your left in the green box.
(inactive users) just activate them.

I have the same problem as emikati. I'm not going to put it on automatic registration as I don't want the forum full of spammers. Putting it on automatic registration wouldn't help anyway, since the problem is ultimately still there in the background.
