I want to create awards on the forum to give out to users who win SOTW competitions. Is there a way to do this? If so, please let me know. Thank you

You could create an image field, and add the award, and make sure that the member cannot edit it, and when they win, you'd just go into their profile and add the picture.

Administrator control Panel => Users & Groups => Profile options

But that's about where it ends, there aren't any sufficient badge systems. It's been suggested, though Wink
