Is there a way to make users register before they can view my forums ? Like if guests come in it will tell them you need to register to view the forums ?

Well, you can set the permissions of all your forums so guests cant view them...

But the Index or Portal of your page will always be veiwable

yes if you have your forums permissions set for members then if they try to click on the forums it will take them to the log in page.(they cant log in if there not registered)

now if you have your forums permissions set for groups. then members now guest will even be able to see the forums on the board unless they are in the group.

Since the problem appears to be solved i will now lock the thread
