Solved Background issue

Post by ENDO August 6th 2009, 7:13 pm

I’m a total rookie with this whole thing, and I'm sure this is pretty simple but I changed my background from black to what it is now, and I don't really like it. It also has a dotted line all the way around the actual forum section of the page. How do I get rid of the dotted line or just make the background black again. I tried several times to change it back to plain black, but it's not working for me at all. Here is the address so you can see what I'm talking about. I'm sure it's something stupid I'm just overlooking, but help would be great.

Thanks guys.

i never seen the dotted line before.I guess it's part of the skin. i have to try a few things first before i know what it is. in the mean time i will move this thread to manage your forums appearance board.

OK i believe that will be your forum line that is dotted.
just clear that out and leave blank or you can change to blank.

admin panel>display>colors> scroll down to forum line change it there them hit save.

Then to get rid of the background picture go to
Admin panel>display>pic's management>advanced> general/explore
scroll down to background picture and remove the link then hit save.

then you might have to go back to your colors and change to black background again in case it's a different color.

"Then to get rid of the background picture go to

I tried that, and for some reason the link stays as if it were a mandatory default. When I apply a different background, it doesn't take either, unless I use one from the site. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong or if a custom background has to be a certain format or what.... Thanks for your help though Kirk, any suggestions are much appreciated.

How do I make it a border? For now If I can't get rid of it, making it a border would be great. It's not so much that I dislike the background at this point, it's that there is too much of the same color on the forum. That I can play around with, so turning the dots into a colored border would be great. Again, thank you for your support and time.

Haha. Well I just figured out how to get rid of the dotted line. I went to the CSS style sheet, found "bodyline" and deleted the border code. It looks way better! You guys have been a great help. Much thanks. I owe ya'll a beer or something.
