Google verification problem.

Hello.

When I try to get my forum website verified by Google I get the following error message: "Verification status
NOT VERIFIED
Last attempt Aug 10, 2009: We've detected that your verification file returns a status of 404 (Not found) in the header."
Please tell me what's the problem.

Your forum probaly hasnt had any activity points, google only hits when you have atleast 50 activity points.

how to find out that ?

I had the same problem my forum has over 307 activity points but it keep saying the samething.

Google verification has nothing to do with Activity Points. What verification tag are you using: html or meta?

I tried both several times without success.

Where are you putting the meta tag?

I put mine on the homepage like it tells me.

I put it in: "Admin panel>>Display>>Homepage>>Generalities>Referencing : metatags".

By the way, I can't put the google code in my meta tag box.
When I do so and validate, it does not accept it, the old meta tags are there ...

I put mine in one of the templates under general. Can't remember which one though.

Admin --> Display --> Templates --> General.
