Portal - Help needed badly!

Well you know how that people say that when you install the portal it should be the homepage? Well mines not... is there any way to make it the homepage, I am willing to do anything because I code HTML and x HTML and i'm sorta a gfx designer but make it as simple as possible please... thanks,

Ok dudes, I just logged on this morning and found that the homepage is now the portal, there appears to be a waiting time like 6 hours before it takes affect, thanks for your help and cya around guys Very Happy

Admin panel --> modules --> portal management --> there should a define as default page somewhere on there. select that.

EDIT: it appears you solved it.
