Leave shadow topic?

When moving a topic, there is not always an option to "leave shadow topic" in existing forum. Why is this??

Hello,

This option will leave a link to the topic that you are moving to another forum in the forum from where you are moving it.

Hi.

Thanks for the reply. What I meant was though, it is not always there. Sometimes I have moved a topic and there has been no option for leaving a shadow topic.

When you click 'Move' button and select the forum where you want to move it.
The shadow link option is right below it.

Yes, it should be, but half the time it just doesn't appear!!. Here is a screen shot:

As you can see, no option of leaving a shadow topic at all! Most annoying as i'm sure you'll imagine...

The "Leave a shadow..." option is for topics that have replies.

No one would need to refer to a shadow -as yet.

Have you tried clearing your cache & cookies ( That's ur browser )

But like RoNo has said, it has to have a reply in it to enable that option Wink

I would have thought it'd be an option anyway since the topic starter will get confused and wonder where their topic has vanished to!
