No users on permissions

Hi,
I have a forum where I can give certain users acces to certain forums, now I have a new forum but can only give groups permissions to forums or categories.

I have read something about making the forum private so i can give permissions to users seperatly, it can be done on old forum but not here on the new one.

What is your question?

You can just go to the user's page in the ACP and change their permissions that way.

Question seemed quit offius to me, i want to be able to set permissions per user , not per group,

sorry if it wasn't clear enough

and for Eman: just like isaid, i want to do that per user, i only see groups now, in my other forum i see all users and CAN set it per user

I understand that. Just click on the users permissions in the Users and Groups section and edit them there.

I only have User options in the Users and Groups,
What i really ment is:
In my other forum I go to:
General/
Categories and forums/
then click the permission button behind each forum, then i see all the users and can give them acces or not.

This i cannot in my new one, how can i get that in the new one to?

*sighs* you have to click on the users name in the search users area. click on the permissions tab and there you go

You can Sigh all you want but thats not what i mean, when i do that and search a user selct him and then go to permissions all i can do is set him to moderator, and see what he can read and write were, i cannot set the the reads and writes, thats what i want

then you have to create a group for that user and set the group to view the forum

no problem. it took me awhile to understand what you were talking about anyway since i've gotten used to the new way.
