Community Attack

A Community That currently does not like people "like me" are attacking my forums with different usernames over and over again, IDK If when I ban someone, Does it Ban their IP Address too? If not, How do I do it, and is there anyone willing to help me keep my forum in order please? (About 3-4 attack the forum per last 2 days and 5-15 have attacked my Counter-Strike-Source Server) HELP PL0X!!! Sad

To answer your first question, no. IP ban and regular ban are different.

to IP ban admin panel --> users and groups --> user options --> ban control

How do I see their IP's with just their signup, or can I not get it (I deleted all their flameing posts so I cant get it from there anymore)

Ban first, delete after. Hit the '?' button to get their current IP copy and paste it into the IP field in ban control and POW!! You can clear up the forum after. guitar

Well then you messed up. You should always stop the member before deleting the posts.

If he is still online, you can go to the admin panel and get his IP by scrolling down.

I Banned him via the profile page, THEN deleted the posts.

You don't like it then don't run a forum. Get your head down and deal with it, I Admin on a couple of Forumotion forums (one with guest posting). Usernames are not always friends and you have to deal with that fact. Good luck!

easy there stooo.
Unfortunately it's all part of the game of running forums. you have to have a good staff and keep up with things.The longer you do it the better you get at it.Just keep banning them, keep an eye on the place and maintaining it to the best of your ability.
if needed get more mods. but you should consider not just making anyone a mod. try to get people you know and can trust.
