Having problems creating new accounts!

Have just been told by a friend that he got an error message tying to sign up. So I tried and also had an error, see screen shot below.



We also have some 'inactive' users in the Admin Panel, and have previously been contacted to say someone had signed up but not received their email to activate the account. I know we can activate them from the Admin Panel, but we shouldn't have to, and it means we're emailing people to see if they want to be activated which takes a lot of time!

Any help would be great.

have they tried on other browsers? or simply instruct them to clear their browsing cache

Ok, well, surprisingly that worked! Why should people have to clear their cache though?

How about the people not getting their emails?

i don't any idea about these but, tell them to double check if the email they typed is correct, also tell them to go to their spam/junk/garbage folder, it might be there or they might have a settings in which new e-mails or e-mails sent to their spam folders are deleted
