Good file host? Empty Good file host?

Post by notMicElf November 2nd 2009, 2:20 am

I'm looking for a good and reliable file host. If you know of one, please provide a URL!

Many of the scripts I'd like to use require files, sadly forumotion currently doesn't allow us to upload files Crying or Very sad

Dion wrote:There's no need for an external file host for javascript files because they can be saved as HTML files. Use the default settings and give the page the name of "-" (minus sign). That will cause each page to be numbered sequentially with names like -h1.htm, -h2.htm, etc. This is how you would access the -h1.htm file:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="/-h1.htm"></script>

I don't have that many HTML pages to spare. My code requires 10 files - I surely do not have 10 to spare.

Hello,

I know of : almost any web host ( wich grand ftp access ), http://archive-host.com/ , http://pmsc.free.fr/

And if you are referring to your forum having all it's pages taken, you can just do another forum just to use the html page Wink

( but you will have to put the absolute adress so <script type="text/javascript" src="http://forum_used_for_html_hosting/-h1.htm"></script> )

Cordially.

there are many file host.. i would google it and find what works for you best.
they all have free additions too.. but some host will only allow so much mb for free and may only allow a certain amount of time be for the file is deleted..

but here's a few that i normally use these are more popular ones.

http://rapidshare.com/
http://zshare.net/
http://www.megaupload.com/
http://www.mediafire.com/
http://www.filefactory.com/
http://www.badongo.com/
http://www.turboupload.com/
http://www.1filesharing.com/

so there's a few for you.. like i said they all offer stuff for free some host offers more then others so you just have to go with what ver you like best.

i have been using zshare for a wile now.. the offer up to 500 mb for free and i think the file gets deleted after 60 days if no one is downloading.. if people continue to download it then it can stay around for a wile.

now just remember if you have members sharing files from file host that you moderate ever thing.. you have to check them.. someone can says it's one thing but then it ends up being like a movie or music something that violates forumotions tos.. so you can share files just make sure what ever content is being shared dose not violate any tos and your fine Smile
