Navbar spacing error Empty Navbar spacing error

Out of pure frustration I have avoided having navbar buttons since I created my site. But it's been a long time now and I thinks it's finally time to switch from text to buttons. I tried to, and it came out like this:

Navbar spacing error Messedupnav

The buttons are all properly clipped (haven't gotten around to making ones for gallery and links yet) but they still space out like that.

Any solutions?

Admin Panel >> Display Tab >> Under Homepage >> Headers & Navigation >> look for Display only images in the navbar >> Yes >> Save

the picture i posted was screencapped after i had turned the text off, hence it not showing the text and only showing the buttons
