Unable to change forums colors.

I'm using a theme from Hitskin. When I click "colors" in the admin control panel, the colors listed are not as they appear on the forum. If I change the colors they WILL change in the preview window, but when I press save it reverts to the default theme colors. It's simple text that I'm trying to alter and I believe I should be able to change the colors.

If you have installed a Hitskin that was made with a CSS script then the only way
you can alter some things is to alter the CSS script as it has precedence over
other settings in the control panel ..You get the forum style/theme script
in Admin panel>>display>>colors>> CSS stylesheet but you may need to
say what the Hitskin theme and forum board version is and what it is you're
trying to alter

The theme is Punkphunk and I'm trying to change the color that the forums titles are written in. I think if I went into the actual CSS I would have no idea what to do.... could anyone help with that?
