Images not appearing in Posts

Hi again,

I have noticed that when I add a link in a post using the image link, the actual image shows up in the Post while I am writing it and also shows if I press on Edit after posting the message, however the images are not showing in the actual messages themselves in the Forum.

Is there a setting I am missing to enable this?

I click on the image icon, it gives me the usual link box, I add the URL of the image and it instantly appears in the Post I am typing up, the image however does not appear in the message once posted, yet when I press Edit, I see the image in the message, not in code form but the actual picture as it should be appearing in the Post.

Sanket, I don't add any code, I press the little image and add the image URl like all of these forums, including this one, should I try only the host your own image link?

But there must be a code in the window after which you hit send & only then will the message have a picture in it.

Use www.tiinypic.com, upload the image there & get the code if you difficulties doing it the way you are doing now.

I also have an issue much like this one. My issue is not so much about image hosting. My issue is that every time I put an image into a post or thread the image does not show up, only the image code.

Example: [img) image code goes here (/img]
(I know it should be 2 [ brackets)

Now. Im also aware that there has been a recent update to where an admin can set certain permissions on who can see the images in the posts. Every option is selected as "ALL". Have any idea what might be going on?

I use the setting to the right where you see everything you do instantly, you don't see any code unless you press the A/A icon, adding an image I press the image icon, paste in the URL and press the button, I then instantly see the image in the post while I am writing it, when I send the message the image is then missing, however if I press Edit, the image is there in the message!

Do you have bbcode enabled in profile as well as the admin panel?

That could be the problem, I see BB Code Enabled in the actual forum, where in the Admin Panel is the ability to turn BB Code on and Off?

Yes, it was activated so I am still lost as to the problem.

Sanket, looks like you are in, I see your username as Online. You will see some of the earlier posts the images appeared with no problems such as the Products page etc. for some reason they now won't appear when I try the above.

Check that, i can post easily.

Hit the a/A button once, then add the code & then post the message. See if it works.

That seems to have done the trick, I will only post images with the a/A button pressed, I could see the code then rather than the image in the message as I typed.
