Signature still not appearing!

Hey guys ive tried everything, but my signature wont appear when

1. I make a new post
2. on the posts that i submitted before

I dont no what else to do, the signature appears in the preview section but not in the posts :S

My Signature is not displayed, what should I do?

In general, there are two settings that could be the reason for your sig not to be displayed. The first one is in your admin panel, where you can allow or deny the use of signatures on a global level. Go to "Users & Groups / Users / User Options" and set "Allow Signatures" to YES.

The second option can be found in your personal profile settings. Go to "Profile >> Preferences" and enable the option "Always attach my signature". Your signature should now be attached to all posts you make, if you actually have content in it.

Note: On some forum versions, it's possible that you still won't see your signatures on posts you have already made, although you have activated all necessary options. There is no other way to change this than to edit those posts and mark the box "attach my signature to this post" and save.

Dude, i have seriously done all that. But signature still wont appear, is it because im using a "Invision" style theme?

Your Signature

Signature settings are to be changed in your profile settings as well (in the top navigation bar) - just switch to the "Signature" tab there. The signature space is limited to 500 characters, this cannot be increased. You can use bbCode and HTML as well in your sig, if it has been allowed by the administrators in the admin panel (General >> Forum >> Messages & Email >> Allow HTML / BBCode).

i am helping my husband set up his forum and he's having EXACTLY the same problem.Did all that. Checked it several times..It's a phbb3 board so it can't be because of the version.Must be something else.We did all that and NOTHING works.

Hello,

Signature always get attached automatically. You need to activate it from your Profile Preferences. And also allow signature from Admin cp > Users & Groups > User Options > User Settings > Allow Signatures > All members > click yes > Don't forget to save.

The default setting for sigs is off.

hi purple lady,just try to put Signature still not appearing! url sig

not <img> url sig </img>> on the box signature.

it works for me but the url still show above the image signature. can anyone tell me how to make the url not appear? thanks

in my forum, some of user sig is viewed but some of them did'nt view. now i'm confuse how this happened. maybe the version is not supported. thanks

If you are typing in

Code:: <img> url sig </img>

its wrong. its

Code:: [img]url here[/img]

or

Code:: <img>url here</img>

If you are using < and > you must have HTML on. To turn on HTML if you want go to Admin Panel >> General Tab >> Under Messages & Email >> Configeration >> Look for HTML >> Yes >> Save

Is there a way to make the DEFAULT settings for all the users to have their Sig as "Yes" I want the sig to show?

To be honest, I have never seen a forum with this option default set as "No" I don't want my sig to show all the time. Thumb down

I have tried the above but neither members nor myself can make signatures appear.
I was wondering whether HTML, BBCode or Smilies have to be on.
I mean, does it make a difference?
And if so, which of the above options have to be on and which off?
