Abusive root administrator

Hello.

I am an administrator on a forum for a virtual political party in the game erepublik, which is a sort of society/political simulator. Our forumotion forum was created to be a resource for our large membership of over 400 users and we have been very pleased with our forumotion forum so far, as it has been a tremendous help to our party, however recently our root administrator has been a problem. Since he was the party president in the game at the time of the forum's creation, he was the root administrator. But since then, he has mostly left the game and forums, ceasing to care about it and his former virtual colleges. Im assuming that this lack of concern has led to him resurfacing on our forums and screwing around for fun. His antics are not funny nor appropriate.

Some of his actions include:

-developing a fake under construction message stating that our forum was closed for child pornography, and that it was being investigated by the government. (no pornographic or illegal content was ever posted, and the message was generated to freak members out and cause panic)

-changing the username, rank, profile, or avatars to insulting or inappropriate content, including once instance when he changed a member's username to "Assclown" and made it remain that way until another admin logged on and corrected the problem.

-harassing members, and editing their posts to change comments criticizing him, to comments supporting him

-threatening to delete the forums, using this potential action as leverage to keep the other administrators from acting in ways that would counter his efforts to promote chaos and disorder.

It has been several weeks of this reoccurring behavior, and it has lead to the leaving of multiple valued members. We have long been a rule-abiding forum, keeping in line with all the forumotion regulations and we have been very content with the service provided by forumotion. However this root administrator's obscene and indecent antics have forced us to consider switching to new forums, which we would very much not like to do, as it is a tremendous amount of work, and we have grown connected to the forum we have called home for a long time.

Im coming to you, the forumotion team, as a last ditch effort to resolve this situation. Please help me and the rest of my community out by removing the root administrator status of this individual, or by some other method, rendering his account harmless to the community of my forum.

A quick update. This individual has now removed the rest of the forum administrators so no one can un-do his vandalism of the forum

I don't think anything could be done, because he was the founder of the forum.

This however, is not his forum. He was the venue through which it was created but it was not a community started by him, he merely lead the community at that time.

He's gone and changed all the maskings to inappropriate titles.

Seriously, at this point if nothing is done this community is as good as dead. For the sake of our 400 members please find a way to remove his power.

I know there is president against this case however this is unique from the other cases. please consider my request

I as a staff member here cannot do anything but feel sorry for the state of things.
All you can do is PM Typlo, see if he can help you out.

Also, the one who creates the forum is the founder. He has all the rights to the forum. If he wants he can delete the forum or anything. It does not matter whether he is just an assistant or anything at your organization. Thats my personal opinion.

Yes i see its your opinion but do you not think this merits some sort of action? i mean if you look at what he's just done to the groups on the forum, it is clear he's violated forumotion's code of conduct

some of the usergroup names he's just made:
[ Registered Sex Offender ] [ Confirmed Communists ] [ Orgy Volunteer Coordinators ] [ Gay Homosexuals who Have Sex with Men ] [ Old Fuck ]

im pretty sure those count as rule breaking. it seems like the logical choice to hand these forums over to more capable and rule abiding administrators

It calls for a deletion of forum then. Doesn't count as giving powers to other administrators.

I dont think the forums should be deleted however, as the general membership has not committed any transgressions, only the root administrator. Why kill off the whole forum when only one person is the problem?

I know, according to rules it calls for a forum deletion.
But i really understand your plight & wish i was able to help you out myself. But these issues are only handled by Typlo. I have already passed on some information to him, he would reply on monday since he doesn't work on weekends.
