Reporting Site!

Hello guys,

There's a site which is stealing EVERYTHING from us! I found them on the directory. Examples?

What's more, they have sent some spammers to our site, and claim they have made the pictures.

All those pictures and tutorials are copyrighted, and they have even stolen our topics! Same colors, same pictures, everything! Also from the Forumotion Support Forum!

I've sent a PM to Typlo and a Ligitation. Is there anything else that can be done?

that's all you can do for now. is just wait for litigation's or typlo to receive it and investigate the situation.

well it's not exactly the same but pretty darn close.
it appears they are using some forumotion icons which i think is allowed as long as they are not impersonating a official forumotion support forum..

but i noticed they have took some stuff out of there footer to where you have everything that is supposed to be.

so yeah you will just have to wait for them to check it out.
you know there are a lot of facebook forums.. but if you indeed own images and have them copyrighted.. then that can be in violation.But that's for litigation or typlo to determine.. be sure to send them all the proof you can.

I have all the PSD files if you want to check them out, I have every proof to show that those pictures are mine and only mine. Also our Facebook Tutorials were written by US, and even our TOPICS!

You are way better of Sending this to Typlo then posting on the forum.

I have sent a PM to Typlo, he has read it, but he haven't replied. I also sent a ligitation.

What's more, you can see its footer, it's against Forumotion TOS, so it will be deleted soon, hopefully.

you can always add the disable right click function to your forum so people cant copy things.. the only thing that's bad with that is if you do it it disables it for staff as well.

see on my paid phpbb board. i had someone from there support create a refresh tag. so where ever this tag is used in post or what ever. if some one tried to copy it it just keeps refreshing the page.

and the good thing is. that if staff needs to copy something they can.
i will suggest this.. dunno if they forumotion will create it.. but may be we can get it in the next update. I'll bring it up in the office it's a great feature to prevent people from copying things

what the disable right click thing. you can find it in tips and tricks.
the refresh thing forumotion don't have that. i mean actually i don't even know if a lot of paid phpbb people know about it.. that was something a staff member made for me on the phpbb support forum. and i had to add/istall it of course.

Yeah, Facebook has a very good method too. When you copy the pic's url you're redirected to a 1x1 picture. This site keeps stealing my pictures using my Page's code. Hopefully it can get deleted asap

About the colours, topic names and tutorials it dosen't matter if its the same because they are all over the net. You are not the only one who makes tutorials. Again if you claim that it is yours as well show me proof that you have those text, colours and tutorials legally copyrighted.

And I did not make any fuss about you using my admin avatar because I did not legally copyright it but I can show you psd files.

Look mate. Would you be happy if someone came here and stole the pictures you made, or the topics that took you a long time to make?

We aren't happy with that. Those are not legally copyrighted, because you need to pay to have rights. But those pictures were made by me, you can ask anyone, I have the psd files with each layer on my computer, and I can swear they were made by me.

If we allowed someone to take them, we wouldn't be here arguing right now. But those took a long time to make, and I ask you to please remove them and find ones that you can rip, for example, in Forumotion's Gallery. But don't steal from us, we have worked very hard on our Forum.

Also saw that it's against Forumotion's ToS to post hackes, well, that site is about ahacking a Facebook game called Restaurant City using Cheat Engine. Another reason, apart from the copyright infriengement and the footer change to delete this forum.

Well, If that's the case, I think the case will won as long as you filled the ligitation with proofs. We'll just wait for confirmation.

Nacho do you have documentation from your country's international copyright office.(meaning) What ever government division you would have to go through to have something copyrighted.

If not then you cant do nothing. it dont matter if you made them or not. you put them on the web anyone cam use them unless you own them and have proof and documents saying you own the images.

So without any solid proof stating the images are yours and you own them litigation or typlo will not have this place shut down because there is no infringement happening.. Now if you indeed have all images etc.. copyrighted and can provide the proof. then and only then would this be in violation of copyright infringement.

All that shows is that you made them. you don't own anything unless you pay to have them copyrighted.

I am not going to allow this thread to remain open much longer.Forumotion support has nothing to do with any forums being reported.Other then typlo we are here for forumtion support only .litigation's decision are made and dealt by litigation's team only.If you have sent typlo a Pm then you will have to wait for him to reply.If he dose not then all i can suggest is that you keep reporting this to litigation's. if litigation's feels there is no tos being violated then they will not do anything..So send them something solid stating you truly own the images and own the rights to them. then and only then can they take the complaint serious and make a decision on what actions to take.

I mean that's like i saying i write lyrics to a song or put a song on the web.
If i do not have that copyrighted and someone else takes the song,dose it as there own and they get it copyrighted.. guess what. i would be beat and there would be nothing i can do about it because i never got the material copyrighted.

So i will leave this open for you a little longer if you would like to make another reply. but after that i will be locked because forumotion support staff other then tyoplo have nothing to do with any decisions on reported forums or complaints. And i believe typlo only looks at complaint's when the are received by being reported through litigation. you do not report it to him you have to go through the appropriate channels of making reports through litigation's.

Once again if litigation's did not do anything then it's most likely the feel the report is not in any violations.Or they did not receive the report yet? there could be may complaints ahead of your so you should give it some time for them to receive it..Other then that then just keep reporting it. be as detailed as possible and if you have have solid proof saying you own the images then send it off to them.

Kirk, this forum I own is just a hobby for me. I'm 14 years old and i spend most of my leisure time on it, do you really thing I could pay for making the stuff I make... mine?

I mean, why on Earth is it neccesary to pay to proof that the graphics you make are really yours? I was 2 entire days desingning every simgle graphic for my forum. It wasn't easy at all, but I finally felt happy when a saw most of m members liked it. How would anybody feel if the things that took you a long time and a lot of effort to make were stolen? Believe me, it doesn't feel good at all. Use your common sense instead of thinking in the juridical stuff.

And that's not all. This forum has several (almost all of them) which teachs its members how to hack a Facebook's game, developed by the company 'Playfish', called 'Restaurant City'. In this threads, it's neccesary to use a hacking program to hack Flash Games called Cheat engine.

OK well you can continue to go on,make points and discuss this until we are all blue in the face. it's not going to help solve anything here.All reports must be done through litigation's. The support forum is not where you make reports.

I pointed out what i wanted to say just to try to help you better understand. you have posted and stated what you feel is in violation and the site needs to be dealt with.

So it's now in litigation's hands. once again forumotion support have nothing to do with the decisions made from litigation's and this is not where to make any reports.. i Suggest you take all that you have provided above and send it to litigation's once again..

This is an litigations issue and all reports must be sent through litigations. Forumotion support staff do not deal with any matters concerning reports of forums that may be in violation of any forumotion TOS.
