Yes you will have to buy credis to remove them

Admin Panel // Mics // Buy Credits // Pick option on how you want to buy them.

Spends credits // ad removal // pick time

Try turning off ads for members (viewable to guests only):
Admin Panel / General / Forum / Configuration
